A two-week long three-credit intensive course on Creative Writing successfully ended on 27 September 2014. The course consisted of thirty-nine hours of instruction including workshops and lectures. Dr. Patrick Dougherty, Director of Undergraduate English Programs and a professor at Akita International University, taught the course from 13 September to 27 September during his ninth academic visit to Bangladesh. Students and creative writers from the Presidency University and other institutions participated in a number of workshops and attended formal lectures to explore different genres,
styles and techniques of creative writing.
