BELTA-PU-THT CPD Programme Closes with Certificate-Awarding

A two-day workshop on English language concluded on 7th September,2013 at Aman Conference Hall of Presidency University .
The programme titled ‘Creating Interactive Classrooms in ELT’ was conducted by Teachers Helping Teachers (THT) in collaboration with Presidency University and Bangladesh English Language Teachers’ Association (BELTA). Mr. Moazzam Hossain, Chair of Presidency University foundation expressed his happiness with the programme and cordially thanked BELTA and the THT resource persons.
Prof Dr Muhammad Mahboob Ali, vice chancellor of Presidency University, attended the concluding ceremony as the chief guest, says a press release.
THT team leader Prof Dr Steve Cornwell of Osaka Jogakuin University, Japan, gave the keynote presentation.
Three other resource persons — Dr Anne McLellan Howard, Tim Newfields and Marian Wang also gave their presentation on different aspects of teaching.
English Language teachers, testers, curriculum developers and material designers participated in the programme which started from September 6.
The guest facilitators from THT shared their experience with the participants.
Among others, Prof Dr Arifa Rahman and Prof Dr Rubina Khan, president and general secretary of BELTA, Md Jamal Hossain, Assistant professor of English, and other distinguished educationists also addressed the workshop.
