Special programme on the occasion of the Holy Ramadan

An Iftar Party and a prayer congregation were jointly organized by the
Presidency University Cultural Club and Cine Club at the university
premises on 28 July 2013.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, the Vice Chancellor of Presidency
University, was the Chief Guest at the programme.

Mr. Mojakkerul Huda and Mr. Sorwar Khaled, Assistant Professors of
Business Administration; Dr. Miah Muhammad Husainujjaman, Associate
Professor of Civil Engineering; Ms. Farzia Mahmud, Assistant Professor
of Economics; and Mr. M. Yasin Bari, Deputy Director of Admission and
Administration were also present there.

Professor Dr. Mahboob Ali said that Islam is a religion of peace,
which promotes the idea of the co-existence of all religions; it does
not tolerate any belligerent and militant activities.

Mr. Abdus Sakur, Lecturer in Business Administration, was the chief
organizer of the events. Humayun Rashid Abir, Khaled Masud, Ziaul Haq
and other members and organizers of the cultural and cine clubs
assisted him in making the programme a success.
