Presidency University’s Orientation Program for new students of summer 2013 was held on its Gulshan campus on 18th June,2013 which was followed by a function welcoming the rainy season.

The programme was presided over by Macro and Financial Economist Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Vice-chancellor of the Presidency University. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alamgir, Vice-chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, attended the function as chief guest.

Among others, Prof. Dr. Rubina Khan, Department of English, University of Dhaka, Prof. Dr. Tapan Kumar Chakraborty, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Miah Mohammad Husanuzzaman, Dept of Civil Engineering, Dr. Tarun Tapan Dhar, MBA Program Coordinator, Lecturer of English Dept Md. Jamal Hossain, Assistant Professor, Dept of Economics, Farzia Mahmood, Rashida Akhter, Registrar-in-Charge and Md. Yasin Bari, Deputy Director (Admin & Admission),S.M.Abdus Shakur,Lecturer,School of Business of the Presidency University, spoke on the occasion.

Prof. Muhammad Mahboob Ali told in the orientation programme, “Quality education is passport for the students to become self-reliant while entering the job market.”

The orientation was followed by welcoming the rains through songs, dances, catwalks and other cultural items highlighting the heritage of the nation.
