A discussion session entitled ‘Youth Circles’ was hosted by Presidency University on the occasion of celebrating International Women’s Day-2020 on 4 March in its Gulshan Campus. Honourable chairperson, Board of Trustees, Ms Rokia Afzal Rahman was the chief guest and His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Al Hmoudi, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of United Arab Emirates was the special guest on the occasion. The Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. Dr. Matiur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammed Muniruzzaman and the university advisor Maj Gen Kazi Ashfaq Ahmed (Retd) were present on the session. Teachers and students from different departments also took part in the discussion. In the session the speakers highlighted the contribution of women worldwide. Mr. Abdullah Al Hmoudi talked about the progress of women in UAE. The interactive session ended with an inspiring speech from the leading women entrepreneur of the country Ms Rokia Afzal Rahman.
