A technical speech on “mHealth in Developing Countries” was held on March22, 2016 at4:00 pm in the Room # 6003 of Presidency University’s Banani campus. The speaker was Prof. Pradeep Kumar Ray PhD,Professor of University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia and Director, WHO Collaborating Centre on eHealth(APuHC). Prof. P Ray was very renounced and prominent figure in eHealth and mHealth era.He has been leading a number of collaborative research projects with reputed international research organizations in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America.

Honorable Vice Chancellor, Presidency University, Prof. ANM MeshquatUddin PhD was Chief Guest and Prof.Tapan Kumar Chakraborty PhD Chairman, ECE Dept was Special Guest of this session. The workshop was organized by the Department of ECE and co-ordinated by Asst. Prof Ishtiak Al Mamoon PhD, of ECE Dept. All faculty members of ECE Dept and more than fifty (50) undergraduate students participated in the workshop.

The session was initiated with an introductory and influencing talk of Prof. Meshquat. Afterwards;Prof. Ray deliberates an interesting lecture about prospects of electronic mobile healthcare and telemedicine on developing countries. The session was ended with a shot speech of Prof.Chakraborty.
