A technical seminar on “"Microcontroller Based System Design" was held on April 7, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Room # 6003 of Presidency University’s Banani campus. The seminar was organized by the Department of ECE and co-ordinated by Mr.Shahruk Osman, Assistant Professor of ECE Department. The speaker of the seminar was Mr. Istiaque Rahman, Lecturer, Ahsanullah University of Sc. & Tech. He was the team leader of IUT Lunabotics team that participated in NASA's Fourth Annual Lunabotics Mining Competition 2013 in Kenedy Space Center, USA. Faculty Members and around seventy undergraduate students of the ECE Department participated in the seminar.

At first, Mr. Shahruk Osman introduced the speaker among the audiences and briefly described the speaker’s profile and then Prof. Dr. Tapan Kumar Chakraborty, Dean and Head of the ECE Department, briefly explained the need for microcontroller based system design, expressed his hope that through this seminar the faculty and students will be benefited. He also extended his heartiest gratitude and thanks to the speaker and all others presented in the seminar.
