As the head of the Department of Law and Justice, it is my privilege to extend a warm welcome to all visitors, students, faculty, and partners. Founded in 2024, our department is committed to excellence in legal education, research, and practice. The four-year undergraduate program at the School of Law culminates into a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Honours degree for successful students.

The unwavering commitment of the Department is to cultivate knowledgeable, ethical, and skilled legal professionals who are dedicated to the pursuit of justice and the betterment of society. We strive to provide an enriching educational environment that blends theoretical knowledge with practical experience, encouraging critical thinking and a profound understanding of the legal system and its impact on society.

Our vision is to be a premier institution in legal education, renowned for our academic excellence, innovation, and commitment to social justice. We aim to nurture a community of scholars, practitioners, and students who are passionate about advancing the rule of law, protecting human rights, and addressing the legal challenges of the modern world.

The Department of Law and Justice offers a comprehensive and dynamic curriculum designed to meet the needs of today's legal landscape. Our programs are crafted to provide a deep understanding of the law and its applications, ensuring our students are well-prepared for a variety of legal careers. Our faculty members are distinguished scholars and practitioners with extensive experience and a commitment to teaching excellence. They bring insights from diverse legal systems and specialties, enriching our students' learning experiences. We aim to prepare our students with practical insight of law through Clinical Legal Education, Moot Court Society and other co-curricular and extra-curricular activities where students are constantly engaged in preparing for moot court competitions, writing research papers and articles etc.

Graduates of our department will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in various legal professions including legal practice as advocates in private practice or public service, representing clients in civil and criminal cases; judicial service (Serving as judges or magistrates); public administration; corporate sector; Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs); and academia and research.

In addition to traditional legal careers, our interdisciplinary approach prepares students for roles in sectors such as economics, development, business, and sociology, where legal expertise is increasingly valued.
