Md. Habibullah is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Presidency University, Dhaka, with more than two decades of experience in higher education, research, academic leadership, and curriculum development. He joined Presidency University in 2018 as an Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Department of English and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2019. He also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Arabic at the University of Dhaka and as an examiner for English courses in the Department of World Religions and Culture at the same university.

He completed his MPhil in English from the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) with distinction and has submitted his PhD thesis to the Department of English, University of Dhaka. His research primarily focuses on postcolonial literature, Orientalism, Islam and literary representation, comparative literature, cultural materialism, and contemporary literary theory. His scholarly work explores the intersections of literature, religion, imperialism, and cultural politics in both colonial and post-9/11 contexts.

An active researcher, Md. Habibullah has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in internationally reputed journals published by Routledge, Purdue University Press, Edinburgh University Press, and IIUM Press. His publications examine postcolonial representations of Islam, V. S. Naipaul, Rudyard Kipling, Daniel Pipes, and contemporary American fiction. Several additional manuscripts are currently under review in leading international journals in literary and cultural studies.

Beyond teaching and research, he contributes to the academic community as a journal editor and reviewer. He serves as Co-editor of the Presidency University Journal, Editorial Member of the Islamic Foundation Journal, and reviewer for Cogent Arts & Humanities (Taylor & Francis) and Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (Springer Nature). He has also authored several books on English literature and literary criticism and regularly participates in national and international conferences and workshops.
