General Information

Dr. Kakali Chowdhury is an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Department Computer Science & Engineering at Presidency University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She obtained B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. degree from the Department of Mathematics in Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. Dr. Chowdhury joined in Presidency University as a Lecturer in May 2008. After that she obtained her M.Phil. degree and Ph.D. degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka. Her research area is Computational Fluid Dynamics. More specifically she has expertise in the following areas of Computational Fluid Dynamics:

  • Fluid Dynamics and Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Mathematical Modeling and Simulation of Engineering Problems
  • Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer in Wavy Pattern Enclosure
  • Nanofluid and Hybrid Nanofluid
  • Magnetohydrodynamics
  • Numerical Analysis (Finite Element Method)
  • Sensitivity Analysis by using Response Surface Methodology

Besides teaching for a long time, Dr. Chowdhury published ten research papers in different national and international Journals including Scopus indexed journals. She attended in “National Mathematics Conference 2022” held in the Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh on 11 to 14 January 2023. Dr. Chowdhury also presented her article in the “29th International Conference on Advanced Materials, Nanotechnology and Engineering” on May 29-30, 2023 at Singapore city, Singapore.
