Research Experience:

Carried out a one-year research on the prominent Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Notes from Underground under Professor Mohammad Rafiq, Department of English, Jahangirnagar University.

Research Interests:

Ms. Nazla Fatmi’s research interests center on English literature, Media and literature. Second language acquisition, and global Englises ( the multiple, diverse forms and uses of the English language worldwide, emphasizing mutual understanding over traditional native-speaker rules) Cultural & Postcolonial Studies: Settler colonialism, diaspora narratives, and identity representation.

·         Jahangirnagar University Complementary scholarship in last three years of undergraduate study 2002-2005.

·         Jahangirnagar University Complementary scholarship in Masters study in the year 2006.

·         Dhaka Board Complementary scholarship for out standing result in SSC ( 1997-1999)

·         Scholarship for Junior Secondary Certificate in 1994  at Holy Cross Girls High school.

Ms. Nazla Fatmi has actively engaged in numerous seminars and conferences pertaining to  English language and literature include Artificial Intelligence in language learning, and digital pedagogy. Second language acquisition, and global Englises. Cultural & Postcolonial Studies.
