In a bid to explore new avenues of academic collaboration, Presidency University is about to join hands with the South Carolina State University of the USA. The possibility was discussed at a courtesy meeting between the two university representatives at the former’s office in Dhaka on Thursday.

At the meeting Prof. Dr Shafiqur Rahman from the South Carolina State University, the USA and Prof. Dr Anwar Hossain, Vice-chancellor, Presidency University, Bangladesh led their respective institutions.

They discussed the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding that would pave the way for exchange of faculties and students and course curricula and other academic exchanges.

Prof. Dr Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Head, M.H. School of Business, Dr Mohammad Nazmul Islam, Head and Associate Professor, Dept. of Civil Engineering, and S.A. Khan, Head and Assistant Professor, Dept. of English, from the Presidency University were also present at the meeting.
